That’s why we strive to create a supportive and nurturing learning environment for all students to be successful. We take great pleasure in seeing our students thrive at Trillium and achieve their full potential and goals.
Mathematics and computing provide an effective way to develop mental discipline, logical reasoning, and analytical thinking. That is why it is important to provide students with a strong foundation in mathematics and technology. We encourage all of our students to participate in various national and international mathematics and computing contests, providing them with opportunities to engage in challenging and enjoyable experiences while developing their mathematical and technological problem-solving skills. These contests include the University of Waterloo Grades 9–12 Mathematics Contests, Canadian Senior and Intermediate Mathematics Contests, Canadian Open Mathematics Challenge, Canadian Computing Competition, Beaver Computing Challenge, among others. Weekly mathematics and computing contest preparation courses are offered through after-school sessions, helping our students build confidence and prepare effectively for mathematics and computing contests.
We also encourage students to participate in various business competitions, such as the FBLA Canada National Leadership Conference (CNLC), Ivey High School Case Competitions, DECA Competitions, etc. Students receive coaching and guidance from our business teachers to prepare for these competitions. Through these experiences, students develop leadership, teamwork, public speaking, business acumen, and practical skills while building a strong foundation for applications to leading university business programs.
