Founded in 1991, Trillium School is an established, co-educational independent school serving students from toddlers to Grade 12s. Located in Markham, Ontario, our school is committed to developing the whole child through a balanced approach to education. Strong academics and high expectations are complemented by a comprehensive extracurricular program that offers students a range of athletic, artistic, social and life experiences.
Strong character and active citizenship are integral to the school program and are continuously modeled by our team of professional, caring educators. Trillium has always boasted a supportive, family-like atmosphere where students feel at ease and truly enjoy the whole school experience. Following graduation, alumni return to the school regularly to help out in a variety of volunteer roles, attesting to the bonds forged over the years.
Our 32,000-square-foot facility features a full-sized gymnasium, an up-to-date technology lab, a fully-equipped science lab, a music room, a library, and a fully-contained schoolyard equipped with permanent play structures.
Trillium is an independent, non-denominational school registered with the Ontario Ministry of Education. We are a member of the Ontario Federation of Independent Schools.
“I am proud of our team here at Trillium. Together we work hard to create a warm, stimulating environment for all of our students. In addition to the curriculum, the values of the school – such as honesty, integrity, compassion and tolerance – are taught and modeled every day by the outstanding individuals who make up our staff.
I believe it is an advantage for students to have consistency and continuity with respect to the teachers from whom they learn. Many of our staff have been with Trillium for a long time. In fact, a few staff members have been working here for at least 25 years!
It is leadership and experience like this that complement the enthusiasm and dedication exhibited by all of our teachers. It is what has helped us earn the trust of the families we serve and forge strong relationships with all our students – past and present. Surely, it is our staff as much as the outstanding students we teach who have helped Trillium establish a strong reputation in the community.
There is no other team I would rather be part of. At Trillium, you will discover the difference a truly committed staff makes to your child’s learning.”
